Carver: Driver injured in SUV crash

An SUV crashed into the a utilty pole in Carver Monday morning, in the area of 60 Fosdick Road.

Police Chief Mike Miksch says the Saturn SUV left the roadway and struck the pole around 6:30 a.m.

Emergency crews found the operator trapped with in the vehicle with wires down on the suv.

” You always have to treat a downed wire as if it’s live,” said Chief Miksch.

A 43-year-old Carver resident was transported to the hospital.

” He was treated at Jordan Hospital for a non-life threatening injury,” said Chief Miksch.

Power to the immediate area was knocked out for a a while in the area of Fosdick Road and Purchase Street.

The crash remains under investigation.
