Braintree: Man arrested twice in the same day

A Braintree man was arrested twice within several hours;  first for allegedly assaulting a woman jogger, and then getting into a verbal argument and causing a commotion with the person who bailed him out.

28 year old Larry Spann, Jr. was arrested on Friday night, after a woman jogger called 9-1-1 to report Spann’s behavior.

The woman says she was jogging on Pond Street, heading toward Franklin Street, when she noticed Spann running behind her.

She said he was not dressed for jogging, and would not pass her when she deliberatly slowed down and jogged in place to let him go by.

Then, the woman claims, Spann ran up behind her and touched her inappropriately.

The woman ran to a local home and called police.

The 34 year old vicitm identifed Spann at the station after police picked him up.

Meanwhile, police had to deal with him soon after, when the person who bailed him out, got into an argument with him in the parking lot behind the police station.

Spann will faces charges in connection with both incidents: indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older, and disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
