Braintree: Police cast doubt on allegations of altered food at restaurant

A woman says someone tampered with a drink she was served at a McDonald’s in Braintree, but police aren’t buying it.

Yolanda Wilkerson of Brockton has reportedly hired a lawyer and may sue the fast food chain.

Wilkerson, who is black, says she was at the restaurant March 24 and was served a drink containing “nasal discharge.”

She also says she was called a racial slur by a man who said he was the manager.

But Braintree police who were called to the McDonald’s after Wilkerson apparently became unruly, says what she told them at the time is much different from what is now being reported.

The franchise owner says they conducted an internal investigation that found her allegations were false.

Wilkerson says she wants the manager fired and an apology.
