Kingston: Truck accident slows commuter rail trains

Police in Kingston were forced to shut down part of Landing Road after a truck hit a railroad bridge around 8:30 a.m. today.

The MBTA reported the accident was causing commuter train delays of 35 to 40 minutes.

Police asked Kingston’s Building Commissioner to inspect the bridge, which is part of the MBTA’s Old Colony line, because a girder was damaged.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA.
