Lakeville: Crash shuts down I-495, sends one to hospital

A serious crash in Lakeville Thursday afternoon shut down I-495 and sent one person to the hospital.

Local police responded to an accident on Route 44 Lakeville around 2:30 p.m.

State troopers then closed both lanes of I-495 in Middleboro as a landing zone for a Medflight helicopter to transport one person to the hospital.

Police said they were preparing to release more information on the crash.
