Police arresting suspects in an armed robbery investigation, are surprised to find an alligator.
Three people are under arrest in connection with the April 5 robbery on Station St.
The victim, a Plymouth resident, says three people hit him in the head and took cash.
During the arrest of 21-year-old suspect Kyle Smith at his Wareham home, police discovered a two-foot-long alligator being illegally kept in an aquarium.
The reptile was confiscated by environmental police.
Also under arrest in the robbery are 21-year-old Robert Mahan and 18-year-old Kaycee Hayes, both also of Wareham.
They’ll be in court on Tuesday.
