An elderly woman is dead after she was found unconscious in her pool.
On Friday, around 6:20pm, Bridgewater Police and Fire responded to a 911 call in reference to the incident.
When they arrived at the home on Maura Drive, officers saw neighbors performing CPR on the victim. Bridgewater Police and Fire personnel then took over performing CPR.
The woman, who has been identified as 82 year-old Bridget Gorman, was found fully clothed in the shallow end of the pool.
She was transported to the Good Samaritan Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The incident is under investigation at this time, but foul play is not suspected.
