Cohasset: High voter turnout marks town elections

There was an upset win in Cohasset’s town elections on Saturday.

Selectmen chairman Ted Carr lost his bid for a third term to Martha Gjesteby, with a vote of 649 to 602.

She’s no stranger to Town Hall, being a three-term selectman herself, and also a two-term member of the School Committee.

Debra Krupczak won a seat on the Board of Assessors with 724 votes to Thom Powers’ 452.

Michael Dickey won the associate seat on the Planning Board with a vote of 574 to 374 over Roger Lowe.

Cohasset had a 23-percent voter turnout.
