Halifax: Town Meeting tonight to vote on budget and road repairs

When Halifax residents gather for Town Meeting tonight at the Halifax Elementary School, they will address an 11 article Special Town Meeting warrant and a 54 article Annual Town Meeting warrant.

In addition to the operating budget, some of the other warrant articles voters will debate include a $100,000 request to complete work on the layout of Autumn Lane, including sewers, catch basins and drainage systems.

There is also a request for a money transfer from available funds of $1.1 million to repair, repaint and renovate the Water Department’s water tower on Plymouth Street.

And, there’s an article asking for $150,000 to maintain roads in town.

Town meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
