The Plymouth County Advisory Board met last night at Norwell town hall to vote on the Plymouth County fiscal 2013 budget.

However, they not able to obtain a quorum again and had to cancel their budget approval meeting.

Board Chairman Dan Pallotta of Hanover, who also happens to be wrapping up his time as a Selectman and Advisory Board member said, “We didn’t have Brockton at 8% or Plymouth at 14%, so we were at 46%. If we had either one of those we would have had well over a quorum. If we had a couple of the other smaller communities, we would have been well over a quorum. We had a majority of communities, but not a majority of the weighted average. The next scheduled meeting will be up to Chairman Pro Temp Ellen Allen of Norwell who’s currently Vice Chairman, because my term ends at 6:05 on Saturday, which is a great day for the county, since you’re released from bondage”!

The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for June 7.
