Brockton: Family remembers drowned teenager

The family of a Brockton teenager who tragically lost his life Friday night, remembers him as a friendly, outgoing person who loved music.

18-year-old Raphael Perez drowned in Charge Pond at Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth while on an annual camping trip with friends.

Authorities say the teen he got into trouble while swimming, and was pronounced dead at Jordan Hospital.

Perez was planning to attend Massasoit Community College in the fall.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized.
