Brockton: Police apprehend stabbing suspect, victim still missing

As of 7 p.m. Thursday, Brockton police were still searching for a reported stabbing victim. Brockton police say they received a call from a witness at around 4:45 p.m. Thursday reporting a victim had been stabbed multiple–perhaps 10-12–times near the corner of Warren Avenue and Forest Avenue.

By the time police arrived, the victim was gone, but investigators found blood at the scene and apprehended a suspect a few streets away.

State police were calling in a canine from Quincy at around 6:45 p.m. to try and track the victim. Police say that no one matching the victim’s description had turned up at any area hospitals as of that time.

Police expect to have more details to release on Friday morning.
