Cohasset: Acting Town Manager under investigation alongside Police Chief DeLuca

Cohasset Selectmen Chair Paul Carlson led Tuesday night’s meeting with a statement addressing the current investigation involving Police Chief Mark DeLuca who was placed on paid leave a week and a half ago after several misconduct allegations by the police union.

Chair Carlson explained Chief DeLuca and Acting Town Manager Mike Milanoski are now both being investigated following DeLuca’s charge against Milanoski for interfering with a disciplinary police matter.

But Milanoski briefly stated he welcomes the investigation, so far cooperating with State Police and local detectives, “I mean, I’m very comfortable with how it’s going to turn out, that it was the appropriate way to just clear the air.”

Selectmen Chair Carlson mentioned in his statement that Cohasset will decide whether or not to take action against the Police Chief or Town Manager once all reports are returned to Selectmen by mid-June.

Chair Carlson and Milanoski both refused to further comment on the investigations.
