Light fixture falls from Boston’s Tobin Bridge

Massachusetts transportation officials have confirmed that a light fixture resembling a spotlight has fallen from the upper deck of Boston’s Tobin Bridge.

Officials say the light fixture fell from the upper portion of the bridge to its lower deck around noon on Thursday.

They say it does not appear to have caused any damages or injuries.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will address the media regarding the light fixture Thursday evening.

The Tobin Bridge, located near Boston’s North End connects Charlestown and Chelsea.
