According to Police Sergeant Benjamin Mackiewicz, four churches have recently reported break-ins with the United Methodist Parish latest to be hit.
Storage and office space was rifled through but he says the churches left almost nothing for the invaders to steal, “In at least one of the breaks, it was a jar of change and the other breaks it was either a small amount of cash or change. There weren’t any church artifacts or religious items stolen at all.”
Entry was forced through doors and windows but the Middleboro Sergeant says they still have no lead.
“At this time we have no idea who may be involved, their ages, or the reasoning behind these breaks,” says Sergeant Mackiewicz
No arrests have been made in connection with the break-ins, the investigation is ongoing.
