KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – The Seattle Mariners have recalled right-hander Blake Beaven from Triple-A Tacoma.
In doing so, the Mariners optioned right-hander Steve Delabar to Tacoma.
Delabar is 2-1 with a 4.18 ERA in 30 relief appearances in three stints with Seattle.
Delebar signed with the Brockton Rox in 2008. He made 11 starts for the Rox, in 2008, putting together a 3-3 record and a 3.01 ERA in 68.2 innings of work, fanning 43. In 2009, he went 3-3 with a 3.76 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 26 and one-third innings pitched and he made 12 appearances, nine of which came out of the bullpen. His 2009 season ended with an injured right elbow that needed to be surgically repaired.
