This week the Board of Selectmen heard the Town Manager’s summary of the Executive Team Building Retreat held last month at the Center HIll Preserve. The group discussed many topics from Entergy to the 1820 Court House to increasing tourism, and there was one subject on which they all agreed and that is the hours that town hall should be open.
Town Manager Melissa Arrighi says town leaders looked at many different goals:
“I was really impressed by the level of commitment and participation on an 80 degree Saturday afternoon and we were there all day from 9 til 4. We looked at different goals for the community and things we would like to see happen in Plymouth over one year, three year, five years, in addition some of the leadership qualities that we want to exhibit here in Plymouth.”
Town hall is closed on Friday–that issue was raised town leaders:
“I think they’d like to see Monday through Friday, possibly half-day Saturdays and keep an evening. I think they want to have people be able to do town business whenever they need to do it.”
The Board of Selectmen, representatives from the School and Finance Committee, Committee of Precinct Chairs, and Planning Board participated in the Executive Team Building Retreat
