South Shore: Man and woman charged with unemployment benefit fraud

A man and a woman from the South Shore pleaded not guilty to collecting unemployment benefits while they held down full-time jobs.

Gary Alvarado of Brockton and Zelda Williams of Randolph are accused of collecting $53,000 combined.

Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office says the pair also took home $35,000 each from their jobs.

They’re due back in court September 25th.
