Braintree: An alleged ding dong ditch results in the arrest of an 18-yr old

When Braintree police asked Derrick Dennis of Taunton and the two passengers in Dennis’ vehicle why they were in the gated community of Lenox Farms, they couldn’t give a good account, according to a police press release.

A resident of the complex alleges that two men rang his doorbell around 1:30AM Tuesday before running off.

Because of a vehicle description provided by the resident, Braintree officers were able to stop Dennis’ vehicle as it was exiting Lenox Farms. Dennis’ vehicle was determined to be a rental and neither he nor the other passengers have a valid driver’s license.

A zip lock bag with eight individual packages of marijuana was also discovered in the driver’s door.

The 18-year old Taunton man is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. The passengers were not charged.
