A Bridgewater man could face a ten year prison term and a $250,000 fine after being charged in federal court with possession of child pornography.
36 year-old Kevin Balzarini was arrested on Tuesday.
According to the Brockton Enterprise, the criminal complaint affidavit stated that Balzarini shared an image of a 4- to 6-year-old girl over the internet with who turned out to be an undercover Massachusetts State Trooper in late June.
A search warrant for his home was obtained on August 21 and executed yesterday.
During the search, two laptops were found in Balzarini’s bedroom along with printed images of child pornography.
Balzarini admitted that there was child pornography on several of his computers.
In addition to a prison term and a fine, if he is found guilty, Balzarini faces a mandatory five years to a lifetime of supervised release.
