Patriots: New England releases Fanene, Hill and Koepplin

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The New England Patriots have released defensive lineman Jonathan Fanene, offensive lineman Kyle Hill and placekicker Chris Koepplin. Fanene had been slowed in training camp by injury and sat out both of the Patriots’ exhibition games so far. Hill and Koepplin were longshots to make the team.
