Plymouth: VA clinic opens on Long Pond Road

For the thousands of veterans that live in Plymouth County, the opening of a health clinic in Plymouth couldn’t come soon enough—and they had a very long wait.

Senate President Terry Murray was there for opening ceremony of the VA Clinic on Wednesday:

“Twenty years to get a clinic here in the Plymouth area so our veterans don’t have to travel to Boston and Brockton—that they can come right here and get the services. And we have forty thousand veterans in Plymouth County that are in need of services and this is going to be a big help.”

Greg Hayward served as in the Vietnam war:

“I live in Great Island. We have a veterans’ committee. We have a hundred and eighty veterans between Great Island and Pine Hills. So having this is great. This is a location that they can come to.”

The VA Clinic is located at 116 Long Pond Road.
