Red Sox: Crawford has season-ending surgery on left elbow

BOSTON (AP) — Red Sox left fielder Carl Crawford has had season-ending surgery on his left elbow. A doctor in Florida performed the procedure yesterday to replace the torn ulnar collateral ligament in Crawford’s throwing arm. The Red Sox say they expect Crawford to make a full recovery.
