Red Sox: Ortiz set to be back in tonight’s game vs. Kansas City

BOSTON (AP) — Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz is set to be activated from the 15-day disabled list for tonight’s game against the Kansas City Royals, as long as he doesn’t experience any last-minute discomfort. Ortiz has been on the DL with a strained right Achilles. The Sox say he ran the bases yesterday without any pain.
