Red Sox: Pesky laid to rest in Swampscott

SWAMPSCOTT, Mass. (AP) — Boston Red Sox great Johnny Pesky was laid to rest yesterday in Swampscott, Massachusetts. A private funeral service was held for Pesky in the North Shore town he’s called home for decades. Pesky died last week at age 92. Hundreds of people turned out for a public wake in Lynn on Sunday. Among the mourners were former Red Sox players.
