Marshfield Selectmen announced Monday night that the state has raised the EEE mosquito threat level to ‘critical’ in Marshfield after a child contracted the virus there. The EEE threat level is also ‘high’ in the town of Scituate. Residents in communities designated as a ‘high’ or ‘critical’ risk are urged to cancel all outdoor evening events until the end of the season, or until the first hard overnight frost.
