Rockland: Business owner indicted in insurance scam

She ran a physical therapy business in Brockton, and now a Rockland woman is under indictment for running an insurance scam.

Olga O’Connor-Rich is facing dozens of counts of auto insurance fraud and larceny.

The Attorney General’s office says she schemed to collect close to $30,000 in bogus insurance payments.

O’Connor-Rich is accused of using her position as the owner of South Coastal Physical Therapy to submit phony bills to several insurers.

Authorities say she kept submitting the bills even after her business closed in 2009.

O’Connor-Rich will appear in Plymouth Superior Court, though no date has been set.
