Bridgewater: Police say patrol surge on Rt. 24 successful, promise more

An increased enforcement effort over the last 3 months on Route 24 and I-195 by troopers from the Massachusetts State Police, begun in the wake of several fatal motor vehicle crashes earlier this year, will serve as a template statewide.  State police are planning to continue to ramp up patrols on Route 24 and I-195 after what they call ‘successful’ saturation patrols targeting aggressive and impaired drivers.
