Tonight, at Middleborough Town Meeting, voters will be asked to put close to $1 million in the town’s rainy-day account and pay off an additional $200,000 in loans in an attempt to raise the town’s bond rating.
Voters will also be asked to approve a reorganization of the town’s zoning bylaws.
Also on the 24-article warrant: turning over jurisdiction of seven burial grounds to the Historical Commission; an agreement to provide water to customers in neighboring Lakeville; and a new landfill contract that selectmen say will save the town money in the future.
Town meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the high school.
