Plymouth: Union and Entergy settle contract talks for 62 Pilgrim plant workers

The Utility Workers Union of America Local 369 has reached a tentative agreement with Louisiana-based Entergy Corp. on a contract for 62 tech workers at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant.

The existing contract for the workers, who are responsible for duties that range from maintaining plant safety to managing information technology systems, expired last night.

The vote on the tentative agreement will take place on November 1, and the contract has been extended until November 14, 2012.

Last summer, union workers were locked out of the nuclear power plant for over a month and had their healthcare coverage revoked before an agreement was finally reached in early July.
