Edward Cordwell of Whitman and a young girl riding a bicycle with training wheels were crossing Temple Street in Whitman last month when Richard Brown of Attleboro hit the pair with his pick-up truck.
The young girl suffered injuries, however Cordwell didn’t survive.
The Attleboro man’s license has been suspended throughout a police investigation that started in early September following the incident.
According to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office, the investigation has revealed that Brown was negligently operating his truck when the young girl and the Whitman man were struck.
46-year-old Brown is being charged with negligent motor vehicle homicide, operating to endanger, as well as speeding and failure to yield to a pedestrian.
