After being postponed because of the weather late last month, Abington Town meeting takes place tonight.
Most of the warrant articles are concerned with the budget, including how free cash is spent.
One article asks for $349,000 for new police cruisers, radios for the Fire Department and a chairlift for the Frolio School.
One article on the warrant looks to transfer more than $500,000 from the town’s free cash to the town’s stabilization fund.
Also on the warrant are two articles that were not addressed at the Special Town Meeting in May after the meeting was cut short because of a lack of a quorum.
One other article is an ethics bylaw that would require town employees and volunteers to file a notice with the town clerk when they represent a third party in business dealings with the town.
And another warrant article would establish an ambulance enterprise fund.
Town meeting gets underway at 7:00 p.m. at Abington High School.
