According to Brockton police, an Abington man was captured within minutes after allegedly robbing a bank. 32-year-old Michael Leate is being charged with one count of unarmed robbery.
Leate allegedly handed a note to a Rockland Trust teller demanding cash. The teller cooperated and the Abington man then fled on foot with an unspecified amount of money.
He was found by police on North Montello Street which runs parallel to North Main Street where the bank branch is located.
Leate is currently being held at the Brockton police station. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Brockton District Court.
