Accused murderer Keith Luke of Brockton won’t be going on trial until spring.
The 26 year-old Luke has been in jail since January, 2009, after he was charged with shooting and killing two people, 22 year-old Selma Goncalves and 72 year-old Arlindo Goncalves, and wounding a third person. Luke was also involved in a car chase through Brockton and a shootout with police.
He was arraigned in Plymouth Superior Court on 18 charges, among them two counts of murder, six counts of armed assault with intent to murder, armed kidnapping with sexual assault and four counts of aggravated rape.
Luke’s original trial date was in June, 2011, but there have been repeated delays ever since.
The new trial date is April 9, 2013.
