The jaws of life were needed to free a Southeastern Massachusetts man from his car following a motor vehicle accident last night around 8:00 in Carver.

The crash happened on South Main Street, that’s Route 58.

Carver Police, Fire and EMS all responded to the scene.

When rescue crews arrived on scene, they found a 2001 Nissan SE Altima in the front yard of 130 South Main Street.

The vehicle had been heading south when it crossed the marked lanes, hit a tree and rolled over.

The driver has been identified as 56 year old Frederick Farina of Dartmouth.

Farina told police that he was heading home and that’s all he remembered.

Neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be a factor in the accident.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
