Marshfield: Selectmen holding tax classification hearing tonight

The Marshfield Board of Selectmen will hold a tax classification hearing with the Board of Assessors tonight.

Pembroke selectman Lou Stone will also appear before the Marshfield board to discuss a truck exclusion from several roadways affecting both towns.

Officials in Pembroke want to exclude heavy truck traffic on Pleasant Street and Spring Street in Pembroke and on Old Ocean Street in Marshfield.

Police Chief Phil Tavares will present his plans for a prescription drug dropoff program, and the board is expected to appoint a new full-time police officer.

Tonight’s meeting is at 7:30 p.m. at Marshfield Town hall.
