Middleboro: Suspicious fire destroys farmhouse

A fire that destroyed an empty farmhouse in Middleboro on Thanksgiving morning is being investigated as suspicious.

Middleboro fire officials say they got a call at 5:34 a.m. Thursday from the police department for a fully-involved vacant farmhouse on Thompson Street.

The fire was knocked down by just after 9 a.m. Thursday. Officials say the building was a total loss.

State police, the State Fire Marshal’s office, and the Middleboro Police and Fire Departments are investigating.
