Rockland: Two men, armed and masked, invade apartment

Around 11:30PM Thursday, Rockland police received a call from a person residing in a Rockland apartment complex on Maple Street.

“What the victim stated is that the two males knocked on the door and when the victim opened the door to see who it was, that’s when the two suspects rushed in,” described Rockland Police Lieutenant Nick Zeoli

According to Zeoli, the suspects, who are described as black males wearing dark clothing, were carrying guns when they entered the apartment and began searching for a particular person.

After realizing the person they were looking for wasn’t home, they fled within minutes. “Once of the victims involved in the incident ran after the suspects. The suspects got into a white van and fled the area. The van was described as a white van with dark color bumpers,” explained Lt. Zeoli

Lt. Zeoli would not say why the suspects were looking for the Rockland resident or how they know each other.

No one was harmed in the home invasion and nothing was taken.

Rockland police have reached out to other local departments for assistance in finding the suspects and the van they fled in. No arrests have been made, the case is under investigation.
