A former Plymouth police officer accused of beating a handcuffed suspect heads back to court on Monday.
The suspect was pulled over for drunk-driving a year ago by officer Shawn Coughlin, who claimed in the arrest report that the man was physically and verbally abusive, but made no mention of striking the suspect.
Coughlin, who was indicted for falsifying a record and impeding an investigation, was fired in October.
A second officer placed on unpaid leave has not been charged.
Coughlin will appear in Boston Federal Court, and WATD will be there.
