A Brockton man, 28 year old-Antwoin Moore, faces a number of serious charges after a Grand Jury returned indictments for Second Degree Murder, Manslaughter, Motor Vehicle Homicide by Reckless Operation, 8 counts of Leaving the Scene of Personal Injury, 8 counts of Leaving the Scene of Property Damage, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, a motor vehicle, and Operating with a Suspended License.
Moore faces the charges in connection with the death of Maryanne Kotsiopoulos of Brockton on October 12th.
The investigation by Brockton Police and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office found that around 4:30 p.m. on the day of the fatal accident, Moore was driving at a high rate of speed from Brockton Police Detectives attempting to stop him during an investigation. Moore’s speeding car went through a red light and hit a car driven by Kotsiopoulos at the intersection of Quincy and Centre Streets.
Moore’s car also hit at least three other cars before he attempted to flee on foot.
Moore is due in court on Monday.
