Two 12-year-old boys, who were reported lost in some woods in Halifax Friday night, are back home safe after they were rescued by State Police and Halifax police and fire crews.
The boys were first reported missing around 4:30 p.m. and a State Police helicopter was called in to assist in the search effort.
The boys were found around 5:45 p.m. after one of them called his parents for help on his cell phone.
They were found barefoot in a swampy area after losing their shoes in some mud.
After being treated at a local hospital, they were released.
