Hull: Fire causes major damage to Bayview Ave. home

A home in Hull was likely completely destroyed by fire on Thursday morning.

Hull Fire Chief Robert Hollingshead said they got numerous calls at about 8:37 a.m. Thursday for a fire at two-story home at 3 Bayview Ave.

The family had left for the day, and the house was unoccupied. The fire spread into the second floor, and while Chief Hollingshead says they knocked the fire down within about 15-20 min, the damage was already done; he estimates it could be a total loss.

Chief Hollingshead said they have determined the cause of the fire was electrical, and it is not consider suspicious.

There were no injuries. The Cohasset fire department covered Hull’s station and Hingham assisted at the scene.
