At Wednesday night’s Brockton School Committee meeting, committee members will discuss a replacement for Superintendent Matthew Malone who will be leaving on January 11 to take over as the state’s new Secretary of Education.
Vice Chairman Thomas Minichiello of has indicated that he would like to see an interim superintendent named at that meeting.
Acccording to the Brockton Enterprise, Minichiello said Deputy Superintendent John Jerome would be a “logical choice” to take over the position on an interim basis.
Four years ago, Jerome was a finalist for the superintendent’s job in 2009.
