Brockton: Scituate couple to ask judge to shut down wind turbine

A superior court judge in Brockton Superior Court will be asked on Monday at 2:00 p.m. to immediately shut down the wind turbine that’s located off the Driftway in Scituate.

A Scituate couple, Mark and Lauren McKeever, have already filed a lawsuit against the Scituate Board of Health because of alleged health hazards their family has faced as a result of noise and shadow flicker from the turbine that is just 640 feet away from their home.

The McKeever’s want the judge to require that the turbine be shut off until the lawsuit is resolved.

An attorney representing the town will also be present in court.
