Hyannis: Company owned by Christy Mihos files for bankruptcy

Brockton native Christy Mihos is not only dealing with a bitter divorce and charges that he assaulted his wife, but now a company owned by him has filed for bankruptcy after accumulating as much as $10 million in debt.

Mihos has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on behalf of Christy’s of Cape Cod LLC, based in Hyannis.

Now it’s up to a court-appointed trustee to liquidate its assets to pay off its creditors.

Mihos also had unsuccessful runs for governor as an independent in 2006 and as a Republican in 2010.
