Marshfield: Brazilian man charged in death of ex-girlfriend will return to court in May

A Brazilian man, who’s accused of killing his ex-girlfriend at a Marshfield apartment complex in September 2011, will return to court this spring.

Marcelo Almeida was hiding near a backyard shed off School Street when he was found by police only hours after 24-year-old Patricia Frois was stabbed several times.

Almeida was illegally living in Marshfield. He and Frois shared an apartment at the Village at Marshfield but Almeida moved out not long before the stabbing.

He’s being charged with one count of murder.

Almeida is scheduled to appear inside Brockton Superior Court May 20th.
