New England: Mail delivery to resume Monday

The Postal Service says that mail delivery that was suspended in New England over the weekend because of the snowstorm will resume Monday.

Postal Service spokeswoman Christine Dugas says mail will be delivered Monday wherever it’s safe to do so. She says some roads, especially in rural areas, may not be passable.

Customers are asked clear their mailboxes and walkways of snow and ice to help letter carriers avoid slips, trips and falls.

Delivery had been suspended because of the storm Saturday in all six New England states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
