Plymouth: Pilgrim plant back in service

The Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant is back in service.

It happened late Friday night, three days after on-site power was restored.

Plant owner Entergy told WATD that the plant is being brought slowly up to full power, for safety reasons.

Off-site electrical power was disrupted twice due to storm-related issues, but the plant’s diesel generators provided on-site electric power to plant equipment and there was no impact to plant workers or to the public.

During the outage, maintenance work was done that could not have been completed while Pilgrim was in service.
