Plymouth: Police captain disciplined after leaving his weapon unattended

The Plymouth police captain who left his department issued revolver in the bathroom of the Wareham courthouse on January 28, will face disciplinary action.

John Rogers will be disciplined for a thirty day period.

Twenty days will be an unpaid suspension and ten days will be served as unpaid extra duty.

And, he will no longer be the department’s internal affairs investigator.

According to Police Chief Michael Botieri, the weapon was taken from the courthouse restroom by a subject who was in court that day.

The weapon was retrieved two days later.
