Abington: Selectmen interview town manager finalists

Selectmen in Abington have interviewed four final candidates for the town manager position.

Selectmen interviewed the four finalists for an hour each.

The candidates are William DeLibero, former town administrator of Charlestown, Rhode Island, Richard Lafond currently the town administrator of Carver, Grady Miller the former town manager of Narragansett, Rhode Island and Paul Shew, former city manager of Rye, New York.

Selectmen Chair Andy Burbine said they’re all well qualified and predicts that choosing the new town manager won’t be easy.

“They all had very strong points and so I think it’s going to be a difficult decision for everybody, which is good for town actually – that we’re offered 4 very good candidates,” Burbine said.
